Soft Pilates weights, also known as Weighted Balls, are designed to be held in the hand to add resistance to strengthening, plyometrics, balance training, and mobilisation Pilates exercises. In addition to offering a more fluid range of motion to using a standard dumbbell, the soft weight design is safer, reducing the risk of damage or injury if the weight is dropped. The shape also helps to promote the development of functional grip strength.

As the size of the ball does not increase as the weight increases they offer a consistent grip as you progress to heavier weights. Each weighted ball in this pair of Pilates soft weights weighs 1.5kg, making them suited for more advanced Pilates practitioners, or exercises more focused on strength training and building muscle. Also available in 0.5kg or 1kg pair.

You can maintain the softness by using a needle valve (commonly used in football/bicycle pumps), simply insert the needle valve into the ball’s valve, allowing the ball to naturally reinflate.
